Weekly review checklist
Close out the week in 20–30 minutes: clear loose ends, drop stale tasks and choose the few things that matter next week.
9 tasks
How to use it
Do it at the same time each week, with the 20-minute weekly review timer if you like. Skip any step you don’t need. The goal is a lighter list for next week, not a longer one. What's inside
Clear 2
- Tick off or delete tasks that are actually done
- Gather loose notes, receipts and messages to answer in one place
Look back 2
- Check the calendar: what took longer than expected?
- Write three lines: what went well, what got stuck, what to change
Decide 2
- Pick one task that keeps slipping: continue, shrink, clarify or drop
- If someone is waiting on it, talk to them before deleting it
Plan next week 3
- Mark next week’s meetings, travel and deadlines
- Choose the three most important things for next week
- Block focus time for the first one
