Focus guard: block distracting sites during your Pomodoro

Start a focus round on any device. The sites on your list close in your browser until the round ends, and open again for your break.

The extension is on its way to the Chrome and Edge stores.

Privacy

  • The extension reads two things from your account: whether a focus round is running (with its end time and task name) and your list of sites and rules.
  • The addresses you visit are never sent anywhere: the extension compares them with your list inside the browser. It keeps no browsing history, has no analytics and no ads.
  • Your account stores the site list and rules, and for each connected browser a label such as “Chrome · Windows” and when it last checked in.
  • The extension asks for access to all websites so it can close a listed site in any tab and show the “Not now” page. It never reads what's on a page.
  • Disconnect a browser at any time from Settings or the extension's menu. Removing the extension deletes everything it kept in the browser.
Does it work when I start the timer on my phone?

Yes. The extension checks your account every minute, so sites close within a minute. Started in the same browser, they close at once.

What happens during breaks?

Sites open again for the break and close when the next focus round starts. With set hours (Plus) they stay closed for the whole period.

Can I still open a site if I must?

Yes: “Open anyway” lets the site through for 5 minutes after a short wait. Strict mode (Plus) removes this until the round is over.

Which browsers are supported?

Chrome, Edge and other Chromium-based browsers. Firefox and Safari are not supported yet.

Do I need an account?

Yes, a free account: the extension follows your account's timer. Free covers 3 sites.
