5-minute timer
Free online countdown. No sign-up — just press start. Runs full screen and plays a sound when time is up.
A 5-minute timer for short breaks, small tasks and “just start” moments. Set it, press start, and do one small thing until it rings.
Five minutes is the classic short break between two pomodoros — long enough to stand up, drink some water and look away from the screen. It also works as the “just five minutes” rule when starting is the hard part.
An alarm in 5 minutes
Need a reminder in 5 minutes, or a wake-up call after a short nap? Press Start, leave this tab open with the sound on, and it rings in exactly 5 minutes. The time it will ring is shown under the timer. In full screen most phones and laptops keep the screen awake; for a long sleep, your phone's own alarm is the safer choice.
Want to know what the time was for?
Turn it into a pomodoro: pick a task, focus, and decide at the end whether it's done. Free, no sign-up.

Questions
Does the timer keep running if I switch tabs?
Yes. It counts down against the real clock, so it stays correct in a background tab. Some browsers can't play a sound while the device is asleep.
Will it make a sound when time is up?
Yes. A soft chime plays when it reaches zero, as long as this tab is open and the sound is on. Press start once so your browser allows audio.
Can I link the time to a task?
Yes. In the free Todo & Timer app every task can become a focus round, and the time is saved to the task.
Can I use it as an alarm?
Yes, for short times. It rings when it reaches zero, as long as this tab stays open and the sound is on. Some browsers can't play a sound once the device is asleep, so keep the screen on (full screen does that on most devices). For a long sleep, use your phone's alarm.
